Employment Opportunity – Postdoctoral Scientist, Inflammation Division

An opportunity exists for a postdoctoral scientist to join the Inflammation Division as a joint appointment between Dr Ben Croker and Dr Seth Masters. 
The laboratories focus on novel proteins regulating pathogen sensing via modulation of the inflammasome. The project will investigate the cellular and biochemical roles of novel proteins in the regulation of inflammatory responses. A number of complementary approaches will be pursued to understand the function of novel regulators of the inflammasome. These will include the analysis of genetically modified mice, infection and inflammation models, protein interaction studies and ex vivo analysis of haemopoietic cells. 
Applicants should possess a PhD in a relevant discipline with some experience in molecular biology and cell culture. 
The position is for 1 year in the first instance with funding available for 3 years.
Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience. Up to 17% superannuation and salary packaging options are available.
