Edital de Abertura de Vagas para Estágio na França nas Áreas de DST/HIV/Aids e Hepatites Virais
O Ministério da Saúde do Brasil, por meio do Departamento de DST, Aids e Hepatites Virais, da Secretaria de Vigilância em Saúde, no uso das suas atribuições torna pública a realização de processo seletivo simplificado para seleção de candidatos a estágio na França no âmbito do Programa de Cooperação Técnica Brasil-França em DST/HIV/Aids e Hepatites Virais.
Esse programa tem por objetivo a capacitação técnica de profissionais brasileiros e franceses, ligados a instituições governamentais e não-governamentais que atuam no combate às epidemias de DST/HIV/aids e Hepatites Virais, além do desenvolvimento de projetos e o intercâmbio de conhecimento entre as principais instituições ou serviços em aids de ambos os países. É um facilitador de cooperação técnica internacional entre os países envolvidos, por meio da oferta de estágios na França e no Brasil.
O processo seletivo simplificado destina-se ao preenchimento de até seis vagas distribuídas nas seguintes áreas: Prevenção; Controle Social Promoção dos Direitos Humanos; Epidemiologia; Tratamento e Assistência; Hepatites Virais.

Edital nº 23/2006 CGCI/Capes - Chamada Pública de Projetos para a Escola de Altos Estudos: Cooperação Acadêmica Internacional em Nível de Pós-Graduação Stricto Sensu
A Escola de Altos Estudos é uma iniciativa para fomentar a cooperação acadêmica e o intercâmbio internacional em cursos e programas de pós-graduação stricto sensu de mestrado, doutorado, bem como no pós doutorado, mediante a visita de docentes e pesquisadores de alto nível ("professores visitantes"), em apoio aos programas de pós-graduação stricto sensu ministrados no País e tem por objetivo apoiar, com recursos da Capes, a realização de cursos monográficos de alto nível, inclusive intensivos.
A Escola de Altos Estudos utilizar-se-á da infraestrutura dos programas de pós-graduação stricto sensu e deverá contribuir para o fortalecimento e a ampliação de programas de pós-graduação stricto sensu nacionais, envolvendo a participação articulada de diferentes programas de mestrado e doutorado interessados em uma programação.
A Escola de Altos Estudos utilizar-se-á da infraestrutura dos programas de pós-graduação stricto sensu e deverá contribuir para o fortalecimento e a ampliação de programas de pós-graduação stricto sensu nacionais, envolvendo a participação articulada de diferentes programas de mestrado e doutorado interessados em uma programação.

Bolsas de Estudo para o 43º International Summer Science Institute
Alunos brasileiros podem concorrer a bolsa de estudos para o Instituto Weizmann de Ciências. Com modernos laboratórios que abrigam mais de 2500 cientistas, técnicos de laboratório e estudantes, o Instituto Weizmann, localizado em Rehovot, Israel, figura na vanguarda da investigação científica e vêm fazendo grandes contribuições para a humanidade no tratamento de doenças como o câncer e a esclerose múltipla e no campo das investigações científicas.
O 43º International Summer Science Institute do Instituto Weizmann acontecerá de 4 a 29 de julho de 2011. Os participantes têm a oportunidade de adquirir experiência direta em pesquisa de ponta trabalhando em laboratórios de pesquisa desenvolvendo projetos de investigação ao lado de profissionais.

Programa ALFA III - Programa de Cooperação Acadêmica entre a União Europeia e a América Latina (3º Chamada)
O Programa ALFA III está inserido nas atividades de cooperação internacional entre Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES) da União Europeia (EU) e da América Latina (AL). O objetivo geral do programa é contribuir para o desenvolvimento do Ensino Superior (ES) na América Latina com o intuito de estimular o desenvolvimento econômico e social mais equilibrado e equitativo da região.
O Programa já lançou duas Chamadas para seleção de propostas em 2008 e 2010. Na Terceira Chamada de Propostas destacam-se os seguintes tópicos: a cooperação para o desenvolvimento e o fortalecimento institucional; o reforço do papel do ensino superior no desenvolvimento global, equilibrado e equitativo da sociedade latinoamericana e a promoção de uma área comum EU-AL de ensino superior.
A presente Chamada inclui dois lotes que serão desenvolvidos em paralelo. Cada lote corresponde a setores ou temas prioritários específicos e será executado por meio das diversas ações ou projetos executados pelas redes selecionadas:

Lote 1- Projetos Conjuntos: deverão ser realizados por redes formadas por IES estabelecidas na AL e na UE. As atividades visam favorecer os intercâmbios de experiências entre as instituições participantes na proposta e a respectiva execução nas instituições membros da AL. Estes devem procurar alcançar resultados tangíveis e mensuráveis no âmbito da coesão social;
Lote 2 - Projetos Estruturais: deverão ter como eixo central a reflexão e a elaboração ou a concepção de mecanismos estruturais que possam favorecer, à escala regional, a modernização, a reforma e a harmonização dos sistemas de Ensino Superior na AL.

Rubicon Programme 2011
The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) is the largest financer of scientific innovation in the Netherlands and operates as an intermediary between researchers, (international) science centres and society. The NWO finances, coordinates and monitors thousands of research projects and numerous collaborations in all sciences, and mediates for the use of state of the art facilities – such as telescopes and super computers.
The Rubicon Programme is directed at promising young postdoctoral researchers who are still at the start of their scientific careers but whose scientific qualities give them the potential to become established figures in Dutch scientific research. The programme offers researchers who have completed their PhDs in the past 12 months the opportunity to gain knowledge, skills and experience by spending up to two years at a top research institute outside the Netherlands or one year at an excellent Dutch research institute.
The aim of the Rubicon Programme is to encourage talented researchers at Dutch universities and research institutes run by KNAW and NWO to dedicate themselves to a career in postdoctoral research. Rubicon offers researchers who have completed their doctorates in the past year the chance to gain experience at a top research institution outside the Netherlands (maximum of two years).
The Rubicon programme also offers talented researchers from abroad the opportunity to obtain grants to spend a maximum of two years in the Netherlands to conduct research. Rubicon grants are to be used to acquire knowledge and experience via postdoctoral research. Rubicon is open for research proposals from all disciplines except for stem cell research where new human embryos are harvested and used.

TWAS/ROLAC Science Education Prize
The Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (TWAS) aims to promote scientific capacity and excellence for sustainable development in the South Hemisphere. The Academy's more than 700 Fellows and Associate Fellows are elected from among the world's most distinguished scientists. Fellows are citizens of the South; Associate Fellows are citizens of the North who either were born in the South or have made significant contributions to the advancement of science in the South.
The Science Education Prize will be awarded every three years by TWAS ROLAC to a scientist who has made significant and innovative contributions to scientific educational material.

It was officially launched by the secretary-general of the United Nations in 1985. TWAS represents the best of science in developing countries. Its main mission is to promote scientific excellence and capacity in the South for science-based sustainable development.
The TWAS Prizes will be awarded to individual scientists in developing countries in recognition of outstanding contributions to knowledge in eight fields of science. Every year, one prize is awarded in each of the following fields: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Agricultural Sciences, Earth Sciences, Engineering Sciences, and Medical Sciences. Prizes are usually presented on a special occasion, often coinciding with the General Meeting of TWAS.

Biomarkers Grant Opportunity: Biomarkers for the Diagnosis of Tuberculosis (Grand Challenges in Global Health)
The goal of the Grand Challenges in Global Health: "Biomarkers for the Diagnosis of Tuberculosis" is to test biomarkers to enable characterization and validation of markers for diagnosing tuberculosis (TB). Projects that will be considered for funding will investigate specific biomarkers for which there exists a preliminary base of evidence, but for which additional data is required to determine utility for diagnosis. This can include biomarkers where the hypothesis derives from novel biological concepts in pathogen (Mycobacterium tuberculosis) or host biology, and/or promising methods or concepts from other research areas applied to TB using a rational approach.
For the purposes of this Program, it will be only considered the investigation of biomarkers for which there is a clear hypothesis that measurement or detection of the specific biomarker is linked to the presence of TB. It will not be considered unbiased biomarker discovery efforts.

Data Limite:A letter of inquiry should be submitted no later than March 31, 2011. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will evaluate the LOIs and applicants who have projects of further interest to the Gates Foundation will be invited in May 2011 to submit a full proposal in June 2011.
