Oportunidade de pesquisa em Boston na área de Imunologia de transplantes

The Transplant Research Center (Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women's Hospital) is committed to the development of novel agents to promote immune regulation in transplantation and to identify biomarkers for the earlier diagnosis of allograft rejection/injury.

Our research center integrates both basic science and translational aspects of transplantation. Experimental mouse models of transplantation (heart, kidney, skin and bone marrow), nanotechnology for drug delivery, cellular therapy, and manipulation of T/B cell response via biological and small molecules are some of our basic science expertise.  In the translational arena, our center is a core immunological lab for the CTOT trials and we have currently three ongoing large translational clinical trials of transplantation, in which we are attempting to identify markers of rejection/injury, characterize the allo-antibody response in patients with chronic rejection and investigate signatures for over- or under-immunosuppression in kidney transplant recipients.  We have access to technologies such as Mass Cytometry, Metabolomic profiling and in vivo confocal microscopy.

We actively recruit postdoctoral fellows for positions in the lab (graduate students are considered in special cases). Talented and motivated fellows are sought with a background in science, medicine or research. A two-year commitment is required, US citizens and permanent US residents are encouraged to apply but priority is also given to fellows from abroad who are self-funded. Prior experience with immunology research is important.

If you would like to be considered for a position, please contact us and provide an updated C.V. and a short personal statement (1-2 paragraphs). References will be required.
